ingredients :
Butter :- 1 cup
Castor sugar:- 1 cup
Eggs:- 3-5
Baking powder:- 1 tsp
Refined flour :- 1 cup
Orange Rind:- (of 1 orange)
Orange essence:- ½ tsp ( optional)
Candid orange, chopped:- ½ cup
method :
Cream butter and sugar till light fluffy and gradually add eggs one at a time till mixture is light. Add the (optional) orange essence. Grate in orange rind.
Add candied orange, refined flour and baking powder
Pour batter into a greased baking tin.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
Allow to cool for 5-7 minutes.
