INGREDIENTS :
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 red onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs. shaved rib eye steak, diced
1 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp. kosher salt
8 hoagie rolls
2 cups muenster cheese, shredded
DIRECTIONS :
-Place a large sized skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add in the extra virgin
olive oil and allow to heat completely. Once heated, add in the red onion and cook until the
vegetables become tender and start to get a slight bit of color, around eight to ten minutes.
Add in the garlic and cook for another minute. Then, remove the onions and garlic from the pan
and set to the side.
-Place the shaved rib eye steak, fresh ground black pepper and kosher salt into the skillet and
cook until the meat is browned, around 10 minutes. Remove the meat from the heat.
-Evenly divide the onion and garlic mixture into the bottom of each of the hoagie rolls. Then,
while the meat is still very hot, evenly divide it between each of the hoagie rolls as well,
on top of the onions. Finally, quickly divide the shredded muenster cheese between each of the
sandwiches on top of the meat so it has a chance to melt.
-Allow the sandwiches to rest briefly while the cheese melts. Then, serve immediately.
